Proud Supporters Of

Clyde Verret

The previous owners before the Verret family struggled to find men to help at Lacassine Fuel due to during WWII. Clyde Verret served WWII and wrote a letter to his sister and her husband, Lena and Henry Bourgeouis, to hold the business until he returned from the Air Force. Unable to keep up with the demand for the business, they sold to Lawrence Cormier.

However, Lawrence had visions for purchasing a fuel station in Lake Charles. He passed the reins to Clyde in 1966 and quickly became the owner on January 1, 1967.

The Verret family has a history of owning retail/mercantile stores for the past four generations since Clyde’s great-grandfather, Vilcor Victor Verret.
